Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine whether personality and emotion experience factors would moderate the suggestibility-decreasing effect of alcohol. Participants (N=51) were administered tests measuring per sonality and emotion experience variables. The effects of alcohol on i nterrogative suggestibility were explored with the Gudjonsson Suggesti bility Scale Form 2. Anger and guilt moderated significantly the effec ts of alcohol. Tendencies towards moderation were also found for socia l-evaluative anxiety and general anxiety proneness. The results are di scussed in relation to the theoretical model of interrogative suggesti bility.
