Ob. Belskaya et al., SPECIFIC PROPERTIES OF DEHYDROGENATION CENTERS IN SUPPORTED PLATINUM CATALYSTS, Reaction kinetics and catalysis letters, 60(1), 1997, pp. 119-126
Cyclohexane dehydrogenation was used as a model reaction to study the
dehydrogenation function of Pt/Al2O3 catalysts. Fresh and coked cataly
sts were tested in two ranges of reaction conditions: model conditions
(T=280-340 degrees C, P=1 atm) and the conditions used in the naphtha
reforming process (T=420-460 degrees C, P=15 atm). Intrinsic properti
es of the dehydrogenation active centers were found to be identical th
roughout the experimental conditions. The coke deposits only block a p
art of the active centers without their qualitative modification.
