Abstract
Liquid-phase hydrogenation of 3-thiolene-1,1-dioxide to thiolane-1,1-d ioxide on Pd catalysts has been studied According to the kinetic and a dsorption data, at 20 degrees C and P-H2 = 0.1-1.0 MPa the reaction pr oceeds via the interaction of adsorbed 3-thiolene-1,1-dioxide with dis solved H-2. At P-H2 = 2-7 MPa, the reaction between the adsorbed H-2 a nd dissolved 3-thiolene-1,1-dioxide is the limiting step of the proces s.
