Abstract
The photoaddition of 2,5-dihydrofuran to azobenzene is known to afford the corresponding allylhydrazine (type B semiconductor photocatalysis ). In this investigation it was found that the intermediate dihydrofur yl radical is formed through a dissociative electron transfer to the r eactive valence band hole.
