Jl. Han et Ky. Li, INTERPENETRATING POLYMER NETWORKS OF BISMALEIMIDE AND POLYETHER POLYURETHANE CROSS-LINKED EPOXY, Journal of applied polymer science, 70(13), 1998, pp. 2635-2645
In this work, we prepared the interpenetrating polymer networks of bis
maleimide and polyether-type polyurethane(polyoxypropylene)-crosslinke
d epoxy (BMI/PU(PPG)-EP IPNs) by employing the simultaneous bulk polym
erization technique. The polyurethane (PU)-crosslinked epoxy was ident
ified via infrared (IR) spectra analysis. Also investigated herein wer
e the mechanical properties, including tensile strength, Izod impact s
trength, and fracture energy (G(IC)) of the IPNs with various BMI cont
ents in PU-crosslinked epoxy matrix. In addition, differential scannin
g calorimetry (DSC) analysis and the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)
were performed to examine the thermal properties of the BMI/PU(PPG)-EP
IPNs. In addition, morphology and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) o
f the BMI/PU(PPG)-EP IPNs were also studied. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Son
