Aluminium contents in clonal tea leaves, black teas and tea liquors we
re determined. The amounts of aluminium varied with clones, grades and
leaf maturity. The use of aluminium fermentation drum in tea manufact
ure and aluminium utensils for brewing enhanced aluminium contaminatio
n. The aluminium complex improved the liquor colour. The aluminium con
tent in brew increased with time of brewing.
