Abstract
Analytical expressions for the Lyapunov coefficients of a planar diffe rential system are derived. Analysis of these expressions for a contin uous stirred tank reactor with first-order reactor system allowed us t o detect new phase portraits. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All right s reserved.
