The problem of electromagnetic scattering from two adjacent cylinders
is considered in this paper. The approximate analytical scattering sol
utions up to second order are derived for two adjacent, long finite le
ngth cylinders. The method used in this paper can avoid the complex ev
aluation of scattering field under nonplane wave illustrated when calc
ulating the secondary scattering fields. The bistatic specular scatter
ing is discussed, and the results are compared with numerical computat
ions based on the method of moments.
