Abstract
The effects of different doses of Salmonella typhimurium porins were i nvestigated on human laryngeal epithelial (HEp-2) cells by fluorescenc e and transmission electron microscopy. The changes observed in microf ilament organization suggested an involvement of cytoskeleton in the c ell response. Furthermore, morphologic phenomena characterized by ultr astructural membrane modifications also involved the nuclear membrane.
