Abstract
Attempting to account for the sex structuring of organizations, this article reviews literature on sex differences in three areas of importance to leadership research. Finding few differences between male and female leaders, the article suggests the use of a framework based on Schein's (68) career stages for further analysis of the sex structuring phenomenon.
