Managerial Problem Solving Models: A Review and a Proposal

Managerial problem solving models exhibit commonalities in form and content. Problem solving models have developed from learning theory but have not reached the refinement of expectancy motivation models which were derived from the same sources. An integrative problem solving model is proposed which includes applicable constructs from expectancy theory.
