Scientific Management in the U.S.S.R., with Particular Reference to the Contribution of Walter N. Polakov

This study traces the influence of Scientific Management in the U.S.S.R. and explores the contribution of Walter N. Polakov to Russia's economic planning. Scientific Management was highly propagandized, but there is some question about its impact on the practice of management in Russia. However, there is no doubt that the Gantt Chart found its way into practice through the efforts of Polakov.
