In this payer, a coupling model is presented for analysis of reinforce
d concrete fracture. An effective approach, the Boundary Collocation M
ethod, and an iteration procedure are employed in the analysis. Based
on the assumed suitable stress functions, stress intensity factors, di
splacements of the crack surfaces and forces of the steel reinforcemen
t can be easily calculated. Further analyses, such as determination of
the ultimate load and direction of the crack propagation, can also be
carried out on the basis of the present calculation and fracture crit
eria.
