Abstract
A remote Doppler velocimeter with extensive functional capabilities wa s constructed on the basis of a monolithic single-frequency ring Nd3:YAG laser pumped by a laser diode. This velocimeter was used to inves tigate laser-induced hydrodynamic flows in condensed media.
