The Relativistic Schrodinger Theory predicts the occurrence of exchang
e and overlap effects in many-particle systems. For a 2-particle syste
m, the interaction energy of the two particles consists of two contrib
utions: Coulomb energy and exchange energy, where the first one is rev
ealed to be the same as in standard quantum theory. However the exchan
ge energy is mediated by an exchange potential, contrary to the kinema
tical origin of the exchange term in the standard theory.
