Abstract
A (2 + 1) D dispersive long-wave system is considered which includes t
he corresponding reduced (1 + 1) D one. The general soliton pairs, loc
al or non-local, are derived fi om some function transformations. Prop
erties of the (2 + 1) D solitons and bursts of the local solitons are
studied analytically and numerically.
