Abstract
Diels-Alder reactions of 15-21 membered quinocrown ethers la-e with cy clopentadiene have been accelerated by the addition of alkali, alkalin e-earth, and scandium perchlorates, reflecting the selective cation-bi nding abilities of crown ethers.
