Abstract
8-(Diethylborylmethylamino)-3-phenyl-1-azaazulene (5) has been synthes ized, in which the 8-methylamino-azaazulene moiety is found to act as a bidentate ligand whose two boron-nitrogen bond lengths are almost eq uivalent.
