Abstract
The profile of a metallic Fourier grating composed of first and second sinusoidal waves is considered. The rigorous expression is presented in terms of Bessel functions. The diffraction efficiencies versus inci dent angles are numerically calculated for different azimuthal angles. In the numerical results, the anomalies for the surface plasmon of a gold grating are also discussed.
