Abstract
In this paper, a variant of the Newton method, which uses a fast solut ion of the direct problem and a dual mesh, is proposed. Computational and physical experiments with simple two-dimensional high-contrast pha ntoms are discussed, and a full-scaled image of a two-dimensional math ematical model of a human torso is obtained.
