Abstract
There is a growing interest in land mobile satellite systems at Ka-ban d for broadband communications. An accurate characterization of shadow ing effects is needed to help plait such new systems. Here, the analys is of a measurement campaign carried out in urban and suburban areas i n which shadowing effects were recorded is presented. (C) 1998 John Wi ley & Sons, Inc.
