Abstract
An extracellular protein, produced from Pseudomonas fluorescens strain D with molecular mass of 41.5 kDa was partially purified. Its first 1 2 amino acid sequence shows strong similarity to a sequence reported t o belong to a protein isolated from a urate-calcium oxalate stone (Bin nette & Binnette, Scan Microsc 1994; 2: 233-239). A possible involveme nt of bacterial proteins in stone matrix is discussed. (C) 1998 Academ ic Press.
