Abstract
During the period 1995-1997 we have monitored the essential leaf oils of 16 taxa to see if their oil compositions were essentially stable. T he results indicate that during the period of observation the composit ions of all the essential oils were quite stable except for two specie s, which exhibited a seasonal variation. By March 1997 all taxa had ge nerated buds and six had flowered. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
