Abstract
A universal scaling law recently proposed by Dzugutov for atomic diffu sion in condensed matter has been examined using both experimental dif fraction data and experimental diffusion coefficients of liquid metals near the melting point. It is concluded that the Dzugutov's scaling l aw holds very well for the liquid metals near the melting point if the excess entropy is used in place of the pair correlation entropy in hi s proposed formula.
