Abstract
Immature cotyledons of Brassica napus cv. 'Topas' were used to investi gate the effects of various naphthaleneacetic acid and benzylaminopuri ne concentrations on morphogenesis in vitro. A high efficiency of adve ntitious shoot regeneration and somatic embryogenesis was achieved on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with the above growth regulato rs. Two types of somatic embryogenesis were obtained, the first direct ly and the second via a callus stage.
