A field study conducted during 1992 and 1993 at Indore revealed that a
pplication of clomozon @ 1.5 kg ai/ha as pre-emergence, fluchloralin @
1 kg ai/ha as pre-plant incorporation, alachlor (10 G) @ 2 kg ai/ha a
s pre-emergence, alachlor (50 EC) @ 2 kg ai/ha as pre-emergence and 2
hand-weedings at 30 and 45 days after sowing were effective in control
ling weeds in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.]. These treatments also
gave higher grain yield of soybean. The sethuoxydim @ 1.5 kg ai/ha as
post-emergence spray was least effective in controlling weeds and had
minimum impact on enhancing yield over the control.
