Abstract
An approach using the 3D-TLM inverse process is proposed to make patte rn recognitions for conducting elements. To obtain accurate results, t he spatial discretisation methods used need the simulation of an infin ite propagation space. To control the effects of boundary conditions o n the inverse simulation, two approaches are proposed for the quantita tive reconstruction of objects in three-dimensional free space. Howeve r, the results obtained from the inverse process can be multiple, espe cially if the inverse method is the same as the direct method. This in verse crime problem is considered in the paper.
