Abstract
The bis(dihydrogen)ruthenium complex RuH2(H-2)(2)(PCy3)(2) (1) reacts with (CH2=CHCH2)Me2SiH to produce the title complex 4, a very reactive species stabilized by coordination of a vinylsilane ligand via Ru-(et a(2)-H-Si) and Ru-(eta(2)-C=C) bonds. 4 catalyzes silylation of (CH2=C HCH2)Me2SiH and redistribution at silicon render C2H4 pressure.
