Abstract
Bis(2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenyl)stannylene reacted with carbon disulfid e by stepwise insertion of CS2 into the Sn-C bonds to furnish the aryl tin(II) arene-dithiocarboxylate (6) and tin(II) bis(arenedithiocarboxy late) (7). The structures of the three- and four-coordinated stannylen es 6 and 7 were determined by X-ray crystallography.
