Abstract
Investigation of the leaves of Fraxinus insularis has led to the isola tion of four new secoiridoid glucosides, insularoside-3'-O-beta-D-gluc oside, insularoside-3', 6'''-di-O-beta-D-glucoside, insuloside and des rhamnosyloleoacteoside, together with ligstroside. The structures of t he new compounds were determined on the basis of spectroscopic methods . (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
