A. Milchev, ELECTROCHEMICAL NUCLEATION ON ACTIVE-SITES - WHAT DO WE MEASURE IN REALITY - PART II, Journal of electroanalytical chemistry [1992], 457(1-2), 1998, pp. 47-52
The paper considers the process of nucleus formation accounting for no
n-stationary nucleation effects due to the changing number of active s
ites. Theoretical expressions are derived for the current I-p(t) of pr
ogressive nucleation in three particular cases depending upon the grow
th mechanism of the single clusters: charge transfer control, diffusio
n control and combined diffusion and migration control of the growth c
urrent. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
