Abstract
The introduction of dipodal nitrogen-donor ligands of varying extensio ns and the relative orientations of these donor groups have a profound influence on the microstructures of bimetallic copper molybdenum oxid e phases. Tethered pyridyl donors yield Cu-Mo-O networks while pyrazin e and pyrimidine are associated with three-dimensional Cu-Mo-O substru cture frameworks with the organic components occupying well-defined ch annels, as illustrated alongside for [Cu-2(pyrimidine)(Mo3O10)] (CUMO- 6).
