Abstract
The theoretical basis of the isoinversion principle is discussed in te rms of the temperature dependence of absolute rate constants. This des cription gives an insight into the origin and physical meaning of the terms 'inversion temperature' and 'transition region', The consequence s of quantitative interpretation of nonlinear Eyring plots are discuss ed.
