Abstract
The mean (arithmetic mean) value of the output emf of tubular ferromag netic pickups with transverse excitation is calculated taking the dema gnetizing factor of the core in the longitudinal direction into accoun t, with the hysteresis-free magnetization curve of the core material a pproximated by an arctan function. The results of the calculations are represented in normalized quantities in the form of maps of contour l ines of the normalized mean value of the output emf..
