PROBLEMS OF THE THEORY OF THE ELECTRIC-POTENTIAL METHOD OF NONDESTRUCTIVE INSPECTION USING ALTERNATING-CURRENT

The problem of calculating the electromagnetic field in a homogeneous electrically conducting half-space with the point introduction of alte rnating current into the space is examined. The solution is used To ca lculate the functional characteristics of a four-electrode needle-type transducer. The results of experiments carried out to verify the freq uency dependence of surface voltage in a steel specimen are presented.
