Abstract
Gastric cancer is unusual during pregnancy. The diagnosis may be delay ed because specific symptoms are similar to typical pregnancy associat ed complaints. Our therapeutic management with palliative chemotherapy and later gastrectomy differs from other known cases, where surgical resection has been the treatment of choice. Surgery appears to have no influence an the prognosis of gastric cancer patients with hepatic me tastases. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
