Abstract
The transfer of oil occurs on contact between a clean surface and a su rface covered with a thin film of oil. The transferred oil film indica tes the real contact surface areas. Ln this paper, the pressure distri bution of the real contact surface area is investigated by detecting t he ratio of the real contact area to the apparent surface area using t he reflection of light.
