EFFECTIVE PROCEDURES FOR THE EXTRACTION, AMPLIFICATION AND SEQUENCINGOF ODONATE DNA

The methods of specimen preservation, DNA extraction, DNA amplificatio n, choice of primers, and DNA sequencing are described. These are prim arily adaptations of those developed by other workers, but the Authors describe modifications that they have found to be optimal when workin g with odonates. It is likely that some of the described protocols wil l have more general applications to other arthropods as well.
