J. Vercammen et al., EXPERIMENTS WITH ORGANIC MODIFIERS IN REVERSED-FLOW MEKC, HRC. Journal of high resolution chromatography, 21(11), 1998, pp. 605-607
Reversed-flow MEKC, i.e. MEKC at low pHs to suppress the electroosmoti
c flow, was evaluated for the separation of some homologous series. At
low pHs compared to MEKC, the elution order reverses and normal phase
type migration is obtained. Moreover, the elution window is nearly in
finite. Efficiencies are very high and reproducibilities in absolute m
igration times are acceptable (%RSD < 5). The influence of a series of
alcohol modifiers was investigated.
