Abstract
Catalytic hydrogenation of CO2 into methanol has been investigated ove r Raney Cu-based catalysts. The Raney catalysts leached in NaOH/ZnO so lutions showed high activities and selectivities for methanol synthesi s. The deposition of Zn on the surface of Cu particles increased the s urface area and the specific activity of Raney Cu-M. Raney Cu-Zr devel oped was significantly more active than a commercial catalyst. (C) 199 8 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
