Dt. Reid et al., COMMERCIAL SEMICONDUCTOR-DEVICES FOR 2-PHOTON ABSORPTION AUTOCORRELATION OF ULTRASHORT LIGHT-PULSES, Applied optics, 37(34), 1998, pp. 8142-8144
Optical autocorrelation of ultrashort pulses using two photon absorpti
on (TPA) in commercial semiconductor devices provides a convenient, se
nsitive, and inexpensive alternative to standard techniques using nonl
inear crystals. A summary of readily available commercial devices suit
able for TPA autocorrelation of picosecond and femtosecond pulses in t
he near-IR from 0.7-3 mu m is presented.
