A method is proposed for estimating dissociation parameters from high-
temperature specific conductance data. The method avoids the need to c
alculate the limiting equivalent conductance (lambda(o)), which is obt
ained by extrapolating lambda(c) to inifinite dilution, and avoids ext
rapolations from high solvent densities (where complete dissociation i
s assumed) to low densities at very high temperatures. This technique
is considered to be particularly suitable for analyzing conductance da
ta from supercritical aqueous solutions, where a state of complete dis
sociation is difficult to achieve even at very high pressures (and hen
ce, high densities).
