STUDIES ON THE ANIMAL-MODEL OF TRAUMATIC PSEUDOANEURYSM

Sixty-nine cases of pseudoaneurysm were made in 72 femoral arteries of 54 Japanese white rabbits, with a successful rate of 95.8%, Colored D oppler's ultrasonic imaging, CT, MRI, arterial angiography, anatomic d issection, and histologic observation were carried out at different ti mes after the operation. The mechanism for the formation of pseudoaneu rysm was discussed and the effects of colored Doppler's ultrasonic ima ging, CT, MRI, and arterial angiography in the diagnosis of pseudoaneu rysm were evaluated.
