Using a distributed feedback diode laser, pressure induced self-broade
ning and shift have been measured for several transitions in the 2 nu(
1) + 2 nu(2) + nu(3) band of CO2, centered at 1.573 mu m. Foreign broa
dening and shift, with N-2 and O-2 as perturbing gas, have been measur
ed for the most intense lines. The results for broadening have been co
mpared with the data given by HITRAN molecular database and some discr
epancies have been found, specially for air broadening derived from N-
