Background: We report on the case of a 23-year-old female who presente

oral sorivudine. Methods: The patient was treated with the antiviral
drugs acyclovir, ganciclovir, foscarnet and oral sorivudine. Results:
The patient failed to respond to a combination of antiviral drugs. Unf
ortunately, progression of the retinitis occurred, which led to blindn

recurrence is common.
