Abstract
Mesenchymal uterine tumours can mimic benign uterine tumours and are t herefore often diagnosed postoperatively. We report the first case of intraabdominally morcellated unsuspected leiomyosarcoma in the laparos copic-assisted supracervical hysterectomy; (LASH) technique. This arti cle discusses the prevention of spillage and the inadequate oncologic management which are specific to this technique in case of leiomyosarc oma or stromal sarcoma.
