Abstract
Four new sesquiterpenoid derivatives, ,9,13-trimethyl-4(E),8(E),12-tet radecatrien-1-one, ,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,7,11-trimethyl-3-vinyl-6(E), 10-dodecadiene-1-one, 11-trimethyl-3-vingl-6(E),10-dodecadiene-1,9-dio ne and thyl-3-vinyl-8-(4-methyl-2-furyl)-6(E)-octen-1-one were isolate d from the roots of Ferula ferulioides. The structures of these new co mpounds were established by; comprehensive spectral analysis. The bios ynthetic pathway leading to these compounds is proposed based on their structures.
