Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive model for the evaluation of air po llution caused by road traffic in urban areas, depending on site geome tric and morphological conditions. The model is integrated in a Geogra phic Information System (GIS) that allows the use of spatial co-ordina tes to describe the structure of urban areas, road networks, and distr ibution of pollutants in the atmosphere.
