A fourth-order circuit is described. It contains two negative impedanc
e converters, two gyrators, two capacitors, and a comparator. The perf
ormance of the circuit is investigated both numerically and experiment
ally. The oscillator exhibits hyperchaotic behavior and is characteriz
ed by two positive Lyapunov exponents. The circuit is found to he an e
xtremely temperature-stable one.
