Abstract
Although gold weights have been extensively used in the correction of
paralytic lagophthalmos, one of the disadvantages of their use is the
induced ptosis, especially with heavy weights, We used gold weight's l
id-lowering effect to correct up to 3.0-3.5 mm of lid refraction in ca
ses of congenital retraction with good results and no significant disc
omfort.
